Hog Wild

Chicks who ride motorcycles have always turned me green. I like to pride myself on the fact that I'm a fiercely independent woman who frequently utilizes mantras like, "I don't care what people think" or "I just do my own thing." But chicks who ride bikes? They really don't care what you think. Weaving in and out of traffic on two wheels certainly screams "can you please get out of my air" (I borrowed that from TLC). Pour one for Left Eye.

All that said, we can't all be as carefree with our bank accounts and purchase a Harley because we're lacking a little cool in our lives. Or, wear leather pants for that matter without looking like a total heffer (I mean, some of us haven't gone to the gym in months). Then again, who says you actually need to own a motorcycle to look like you ride one? Not me, friends. Not me.

In my opinion, the key element to looking like you've got a hog parked at home in the driveway is wearing a pair of super badass boots. I searched high and low for months for the perfect pair and finally stumbled upon my two favorites at none other than Steve Madden. I cannot speak highly enough about these boots. They are the most comfortable pieces of footwear I've ever owned (super cushiony inside) and only get better with each wear. Plus, they're easy on your checking account unlike a lot of other brands (about $160). I'm on set a lot and need to be able to move quickly while still looking cute. I pair these with some skinny jeans and an oversized boyfriend tee/blazer combo or a little skirt with tights et voila! I've instantly added some edge and a little more cool to my outfit. I can't believe I once didn't own these bad boys.

Now, where to find some leather pants...

(FYI the black ones are called the BUCKKIE and the brown ones are the BANDDIT. Both can be found at Steve Madden stores or online.)
